Hugo and Dave |
After all the excitement last weekend going to see Sarah Millican (read it here), the Mr and I decided on a nice relaxed weekend at home. Friday night was #PizzaFriday - what little fatties we are! But seriously, you can't watch Gogglebox without some sort of delicious (fatty) food!
Saturday, a lovely day to sleep in wake up at 08:20 for no apparent reason. Matt has been at his placement all week and I think his brain has decided to sync his body clock already. Not that I minded, I'm normally up at this time and catching up with Corrie or something on the Tablet!
Anyway, the Sun was shining so after a nice relaxing morning we tootled up to the Village pub and made our way to the beer garden, Drinks in hand. Being a nice Sunny day, We took Hugo (he's a keen Naturist but he know's there's a time and a place. He's keeping himself trim for his Holiday) and Dave (everyone has a mate named Dave). Ruby Ruth Doll's had tweeted asking if any of the Doll's were out and about so we took some pictures to tweet back. They drank all my Elderflower Fizz and Dave ate his body weight in Chips!
Hugo declined the chips, his holiday is very soon!

Ah Sunday, a day for Blogging, for Planning Lessons (Matt), for doing the washing and for just generally having a lazy day! I popped round to see my Mum for a bit, We caught up on the Graham Norton show from Friday night. I don't normally watch it but the guests for this show were OUTSTANDING! We watched this Fabulous Dancing twice! Hugh Jackman + Michael Fassbender + James McAvoy = 1 ridiculously good looking sofa! Such a funny show, catch it on BBC iplayer if you get a chance. I should mention that this show also featured a performance from Molly. She is representing our lovely UK music industry at the Eurovision Song Contest next week. Nice girl, Nice Voice. Looked a bit like an Ellie Goulding wannabe... Song? Ermmmm, I won't comment - but listening to her talk to Graham Norton about, You'll know what they both think of it! (However, compared to recent entries from the UK, she is rather good!)

Also on Sunday, you may have noticed Google paying tribute to the Wonderful Audrey Hepburn who, had she still been with us, would have turned 85 today! I really can't imagine her ageing at all, she was such a Classic Beauty. Although she is probably best remembered for films such as 'Sabrina' and 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' and is idolised globally as a style icon, Audrey was a great humanitarian and devoted much of her later life to working with the charity UNICEF. She was a true inspiration to many young women. In case you missed it, this was the Google search page for May 4th:
As for Monday, Between washing and Ironing and other exciting things ( I mean that, I really did enjoy it!) I managed to sit down and decide on a few Blog related things. In addition to 'This week I'm Reading' (published weekly, on Wednesdays) I'll also be posting a new 'feature' on the Blog - my Favourite Picks from websites you may not have visited before. I'm a great lover of Jewellery and Handmade Design and I know lot's of great little places to shop on the Internet - I thought I'd share them with all you lovely people! I haven't decided on a name for this feature yet so you'll just have to wait and see!!

So, a lovely weekend for me - What did you get up to?
