A Day in Hove

Becki over at The Explorer wrote a post recently about Nothing Days. A day in which to mooch. I had a little mooch down to Hove recently and thought I would share my findings. I'm normally the sort of person who heads through Hove en route to Brighton but there are always a few places that catch my eye. Namely Department Flea Market so I thought I'd stop by and check it out.

I can honestly say, I loved it! Lot's of different stalls to rummage around, great furniture that I wished I could buy and lots and lots of treasures! I found a spool of Violet colour silk thread from 1968, it's so beautiful and at £2 I had to have it....just to put on my shelf and LOOK at. I was being very restrained as I walked around until I stumbled upon Stall 6 and my childhood came rushing back to me! Twink and Romeo, Sprites from Rainbow Brite (1983 Hallmark Cards) and a PC Plod from Noddy (Modern but pre-CGI Noddy). And A Noddy Book, a little hardback one which I didn't already have in my collection - more on that to come in its own post! Yes, Stall 6 certainly saw me coming as I had to have them all, off to the till!

I also had a good rummage around all the charity shops before making my way to Small Batch Coffee. Now, I'm extremely picky about my coffee but this was so delicious that I will definitely be back ! I also treated myself to a White Chocolate Salted Caramel Shortbread (yes, that's a thing!) and found that they had cut it into the perfect size for a sweet accompaniment to my coffee. Whilst in Hove I also popped into Berts....because you can't just walk past Berts! I picked up some lovely things in there too but I think I'll be reviewing them when I get a chance to take photos! Until then, toodles!

Do you have a favourite place to go for a mooch?!
